Dear Editor,
From reading your editorial, “ When the System Works” I agree that it will be a very hard to help students earn better grades in the thousands of school that are failing, which are also in jeopardy of being shut down. In addition, I also agree with you that the Department of Education in Washington should be paying close attention to what is happening in North Carolina Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System. What I mean is that I was very pleased to know that the district administrators was able to come up with a new learning method of helping students earn better grades. They adopted a new enrollment system of putting the best principals in the troubled schools. That is a divine idea because they are able to do whatever they want to make schools succeed. Moreover, it worked for Charlotte- Mecklenburg because now it one of the highest- performing school in the city. What I also like about this is that principals who have improved student performance at their current school are given bonuses.
