What does America's obsession with celebrities tell us about American culture?

Have you ever heard of the quote that "Life is a dream for the wise, a game for the fool, a comedy for the rich, and tragedy for the poor." Well, that is sometime true when it is referred to the question , what does America's obsession with celebrities tell us about American culture? There are specifically many pros and cons. For example, celebrities use their fame and wealth either for the better (donating) or the worse (drugs).

One specific pro is that celebrities are used as role-models in the American Culture since they are adored by many fans. One in specific, is Michael Jackson. He achieved many goals by lending a hand toward the less unfortunate.He did so by donating money to many charities around the world. In addition, he influenced many people to think about how they can change the life of a person. For example, he had inspired me to believe that I can make a difference for someone who is less adverse than I am.This show that the obsession with celebrities tell us that anything is possible in the American Culture.

Have you ever heard that there are many celebrities that out there that commit misdemeanors that becomes a controversy to the world?
Well, I definitely did, because that is the con part about being a celebrity. For instance, there are celebrities that "claims" that paparazzi are incredibly infuriating because they are always subsequent to them. However, we know that it is simply conspicuous that most celebrities don't mind that they have paparazzi around them when they are in the public. I truly believe they say those things to fool their fans into believing that it is not about fame which is quite the contrary. What this tell us about the obsession with celebrities is that fame can cause numerous matters that will not only affect celebrities but it will also affect the way they are viewed and thought about in the American Culture.


In conclusion, celebrities have a major impact on the American Culture because they are widely admired for thing they do no matter what.
For example, celebrities use their fame and wealth either for the better or the worse. However, it is also an eye opening because we observe and learn the good and bad things celebrities do.
